"They show a 67 MWe reactor vessel from Big Rock Point removed last
month. The shipment weight is 305 Tons with a container length of 25 feet and 13 feet in diameter. The container is
made from 3" thick carbon steel with special properties with 4" thick top and bottom end plates and an
additional 4" thickness at the ‘belt’ line’ where the reactor fuel was once located."
It left from Gaylord, MI on Tuesday 10/14/03 and arrive at a low level waste facility in Barnwell, SC sometime towards the end of the month.

The following photo was found on Paul Wilson's
Central Virginia Railfan page.
"NS 052, high and wide extra moves a Schnabel car carrying a nuclear reactor vessel at
Russell, the north end of the siding through Waynesboro, VA. NS C40-9 8834 on the point."
Based on futher research and looking at the end of the picture, this is not a
schnabel car, because a schnabel car would block the view of the end of the load.
This looks like the CAPX car.
