The following photos are from my collection.

The following photos were sent by Bryce Denny, of Mansfield, Louisiana. The photos were taken on March 23, 2009 at Yemasee, S.C.

The following photos were sent to me by Stephen Turner of Easley, SC. Steven was contacted to be a rider on several trips from GE's Greenville plant to the Port of Charleston.

"We do a whole lot of horizontal shifting of the rail cars between Laurens and Charleston. The cars aren't equipped to do any vertical shifts. There are pics of some of the shifts and the clearance between obstacles some are signals, signs, bridges and some are shifts because of other trains. "

The following photos were sent to me by Sarvis Chip Hughes. They are used with his permission. These photos were taken at GE in Greenville, SC.

On the back of the 21155 car are mud flaps. According to Chip, "the mud flaps are there because we spend most of our time riding the front platform on our caboose which is coupled up right behind this car, and the flaps help keep us from getting covered in in junk thrown up while in transit. They also cut down on the spray from the wheels when it rains."

Michael Marra sent me this photo of GEGX 021155 at the Carolina Piedmont Railroad Yard in Laurens, SC on 2 April 2000. It is used with Michael's permission.

Joseph C. Hinson took this picture near Newberry, SC from the Hwy. 76 overpass. It comes from the GE plant in Greenville via the Carolina Piedmont. Interchange is made in Laurens at the small CSX/Carolina Piedmont yard -- also the CP office is located there. CSX takes it from there via Clinton, Joanna, Newberry, Columbia (Cayce Yard) and Charleston.

Tony Moses sent the following six shots. The first three appear to be the same trip as above. The second two were taken out of Charleston on the return trip back to Greenville. The last photo is of the "rider car" or caboose that is used on these high and wide shipments.

The following pictures of GEGX 021155 were sent to me by Mike Turner. He took these pictures in Laurens, SC. "GE Turbine has all sorts of heavy flats just sitting around their Greenville plant inside the fence although this one is the largest I have seen."

The following photo were posted to A.B.P.R. by Bob Redden. These photos are of a GE Turbine en-route to Port of Charleston for overseas shipping.

Daniel Brown sent the following photo of the GEGX 21154 flat car coming out of the Atlas Car plant in Salem, Ohio. This is a real builders photo, Dan helped to build the car!
