The Dutch flagged Stellanova (left) arrived in Duluth on October 13th, 2000, with a load of 36 pieces of equipment that will be used for oil processing in northern Alberta, Canada.

Below, one of the biggest pieces, almost one million pounds, was lifted out of the Stellanova the following week at the Clure Public Marine Terminal. It was placed on a specially designed rail car. This piece is about 14 feet in diameter and 75 feet long.

The Stellanova is only 313 feet long, but she can carry very heavy, and very long, cargo.

Below, other equipment was discharged for delivery by truck. Here a piece is hoisted by the Stellanova's crane onto a waiting truck. Truck and cargo will soon be headed north to Alberta, Canada.
