An $11 million expansion at General Electric's Rome, Georgia, Medium Transformer Department will involve the construction of several new buildings (light areas in photo) and will add 25 per cent more floor space to existing facilities. The expansion will permit General Electric to build bigger transformers, in keeping with market trends toward larger-type units."
