Southern's New Cumberland River Bridge

SPEAKING OF BRIDGES-construction of the Southern's new Cumberland River Bridge at Burnside, Kentucky, is moving rapidly toward completion, as this recent progress picture shows. This view from the south end of the bridge shows the steel framework being extended from the north bank to connect with girders already placed from the south end toward the center of the span.
