New Cumberland River Bridge

Final Steel Placed On New Cumberland River Bridge-At exactly 12:54 p.m. on April 27, 1950, the final piece of structural steel settled into place on the Southern's new bridge across the Cumberland River near Burnside, Kentucky. Completion of the bridge can now be expected within a few weeks. We'll tell the story of its construction in an early issue.
