ON THE COVER

Passengers aboard any of the Southern's great fleet of passenger trains that serve the Nation's Capital all experience a thrill at the sight of the Jefferson Memorial as their train rounds a curve leading to the tunnel entrance to Washington's impressive Union Station.

To some it is a sign that they are almost home after a business or vacation trip. For others it is a small taste of the sight-seeing they expect to do during a visit in the city.

Southern Railway passenger service to and from Washington is excellent and it keeps people coming back to our railroad whenever they have a trip to make to any point the Southern serves.
