In place of the old freight station (left) built before the Civil War, the Southern - affiliated Carolina & Northwestern Railway Company now has a new brick office building (above) at Anderson, S. C. The new structure, with warehouse space at rear, was constructed entirely with funds received from the sale of a passenger station owned by the railway and no longer used. Freight traffic personnel as well as supervisory officers of the C&NW's Anderson division have offices in the building.
