Southern Hauls First Imported Clay
For Kohler Company's New Spartanburg Plant

On the morning of September 30 at the Port of Charleston, S. C., more than 60 Southern Railway gondola cars stood ready to receive nearly 3,000 tons of clay. Of special quality imported from Wales, the clay was destined for a new multi- million-dollar plant at Spartanburg, S. C., owned by Kohler Company, manufacture of bathroom fixtures.
