From L. C. McCauley, flagman on "The Tennessean," came this once in a lifetime shot. It was taken on November 11, 1911, of Southern engine No.1111 on the Harrisonburg Branch. The man in the cab was Frank Tolliver, owner of a jewelry store in Harrisonburg. On the ground were (from left): Ben Shacklett, conductor; Tom Rowen, engineer; John Marston, watch inspector; Volley Vaughn, conductor; and Earl Moore, fireman. The boy on the pilot was George Shacklett, son of the conductor.
