Unique Loads
Two huge stainless-steel tanks, 12 ft. in diameter and 34 ft. long,
moved over Southern recently from
Cincinnati, Ohio, to Jacksonville,
Fla., and eventually were exported
to Cuba. The tanks, here dwarfing
six - foot John F. Burke, Southern's
commercial agent at Cincinnati, are
for nitric acid storage and were
made by Brighton Corp. of that city.
Part of a ten - car shipment of Dempster Dumpsters (waste disposal devices manufactured by
Dempster Brothers, Knoxville, Tenn.) moving out of Knoxville via Southern. Nine were routed
through Jacksonville to Miami, Fla., the other car via Memphis to an air base near Colorado
Springes, Colo.
