Southern Scenes

The feature shows what a half-million people saw Southern Railway's "Best Friend of Charleston" when it appeared as a float July 3 in the "Happy Birthday, USA" parade in Washington, D. C. The Best Friend is a replica of the first steam train to carry passengers in regular service in the United States.
