This Southern Railway unit coal train loads in less than two hours from these 12,OOO-ton silos at the new Monterey Coal Company, number 2 mine, at Albers, Ill. The mine, which began its first shipments in June to a power plant in Indiana, will increase production over the next 2 years to 3.6 million tons a year. Then Southern will be operating two unit trains daily.
