Photos:

SRT delivered a turbine load to the power plant that Calpine is building in Hawyard, CA. By the time that I arrived, the car was parked on a siding between two building, not the best for photography.

Paul Lanyi grabbed these shots of the car arriving in Hayward, and being backed into the siding.

The latest car in this series 204002 is owned by Specialized Rail Transport, and managed by Kasgro. The following photos, and equipment diagram at the bottom of the page are courtesy of SRT.

The 204001 car lost its load on May 29. 2009 at the Columbus Street Terminal, South Carolina Port Authority, Charleston, SC. This happened right infront of the port police office, the white building in the background. The following photos were sent by someone on the scene shortly after the accident. There was some damage to the car body. The cause appears to be just a little too much curvature with-out shifting the load.

The following photos were taken by Vince Skibo, at New Castle, just before the cars were released for use.
